COMMON QUESTIONS
-
Strategic Projects are built around a defined marketing challenge or business priority, not a predetermined list of deliverables.
That could mean developing a go-to-market strategy, improving positioning and messaging, strengthening sales enablement, building a channel or content strategy, planning a major launch, improving Sales and Marketing alignment, or solving another marketing problem that needs focused strategic attention.
The common thread is that there’s a meaningful problem to solve and your team needs more than another round of tactics to solve it.
-
A Focused Diagnostic is designed to answer “What’s actually going on, and where should we focus?”
A Strategic Project starts when the challenge is clear enough to move into “What should we do about it, and how do we make it work?”
If we don’t have enough clarity to answer that responsibly, I may recommend starting with a Focused Diagnostic rather than jumping straight into a project.
-
Sometimes, but Hold True is not designed to become your outsourced marketing department.
My role is primarily strategic: understanding the problem, developing the approach, creating the frameworks and tools your team needs, facilitating important decisions, and helping make sure the strategy can survive real-world execution.
Depending on the project, I may develop specific strategic materials or implementation tools. Your internal team or existing partners will typically own ongoing production and execution.
-
It depends on the problem we’re solving.
Most Strategic Projects are designed around a defined objective, scope, and timeline rather than an ongoing number of hours. Some may take several weeks. More complex work involving multiple stakeholders, research, workshops, or significant strategic development may take longer.
Before we begin, you’ll know what we’re solving, what the engagement includes, and what we’re working toward.
-
Strategic Projects are scoped and priced based on the value and complexity of the work, not simply the number of hours involved.
After an initial conversation, I’ll determine whether a Strategic Project makes sense and recommend an appropriate scope. You’ll receive a clear proposal outlining the objective, work involved, expected outcomes, timeline, and investment before making a decision.
